Promenade Bridge 250 m long (without dams), 3.50 m wide, maximum span 60 m (in the middle), clearance height approximately 7.50 m depending on water level, four viewing platforms. The substructure consists of precast concrete elements at the ends. In the middle, a steel box girder with access hatches for inspections is located over a length of 120 m. The bridge is founded on approximately 18 m long concrete piles. The pavement is made entirely of mountain larch. The railing is made of steel with a round handrail. There are 11 lamps, whose unique shape has since become the logo of the municipal company. The cost is approximately €1.7 million. Construction period: November 2007 to June 2008. The lake, which is around 100 hectares in size, has a large round island in the middle that can be reached on foot and by bike via a 325-metre-long promenade bridge. The bridge is architecturally interesting and striking, and is also fitted with visually appealing lights, so that you can walk along it even in the dark.

Königssee Astederfeld Swimming is unsupervised in the well-maintained outdoor pool at the "Haus am See" restaurant on Tarbarger Landstrasse in Astederfeld near Neuenburg. For this reason, entry is free. The large lake with a white sandy beach and a large lawn, surrounded by lots of greenery, invites you to swim, bathe and relax in summer. Children have enough space to frolic in the spacious area of the shallow water at the front. A toilet block is available for day visitors. At this large, former quarry lake there is a recreational area with over 60 comfortable pitches for caravans. All pitches are equipped with sewer, electricity and water connections. Guests also benefit from a comfortably equipped, heated sanitary building with toilets, showers, washing machine and a baby changing room.

The cycle path leads around the Wangermeer. There are many benches where you can relax. It is a beautiful, large and quiet lake. There is also a beach for swimming.
