Very nice, easy to ride cycle path.

Anyone who wants to cycle the Leine Heide cycle path should definitely start here or at least make a stop here.

Surrounded by a moat and trees, the Deuna moated castle is located in the center of the municipality of Niederorschel in the Eichsfeld district. Nestled between the Harz Mountains, the Hessian Mountains and the Thuringian Forest, the residence is an ideal starting point for excursions into the surrounding area.

I have often taken the cycle path from the source of the Leine to Göttingen and from Göttingen to Hanover. In Eichsfeld the cycle path is in excellent condition, but this deteriorates further along. The Werra, Fulda and Weser cycle paths are ahead of the Leine cycle path, but the Leine cycle path is also very beautiful and worth a change.
