We have walked the path from the Kanzelwand to the Hammerspitze several times, including with our 10-year-old son. When visibility is poor, the path is life-threatening as you can very quickly end up on the rope slope. The path is not always easy to find and at one point the more obvious path leads into the steep slope where at some point you can't go any further. You should definitely be sure-footed and not be afraid if it gets slippery for a few meters.

It is not for nothing that the Walmendinger Horn, at 1990 m, is also called the mountain of the senses. From the summit you can enjoy a wonderful 360-degree panoramic view of the three countries. At the mountain station at almost 1946 m, a viewing platform with a glass elevator offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the two-country corner and up to the peaks of the Swiss Confederation. The Walmendingerhorn cable car takes hikers and visitors up the mountain or into the valley in around five and a half minutes.
