Anyone who simply wants to switch off and enjoy the beauty of nature should make the trip; it's worth it 💯

Only the SUVs of the Kaiserstuhl residents, the motorcycle riders, and the village youth on mopeds are faster than the cyclists. But when the traffic is quieter, it's fun. It's nicer to head out of the Kaiserstuhl, towards Bötzingen, than the descent.

It's OK. But you don't have to make too much noise about this stretch of road.

The descent in the direction of Bötzingen is one of the few routes in a wide area on which you can reach speeds of more than 80 kilometers per hour relatively safely and this is also justifiable from the safety point of view. Although the Black Forest offers many roads with a higher gradient, these are often narrower and, above all, more curvy.

The Rinken at 1196 m altitude or the pass of the same name is located at the northern foot of the Feldberg. The ascent from Oberried (on the Notschrei north ramp) through the deep Zastlertal is certainly one of the toughest climbs that the Black Forest has to offer for racing bikes. In the upper area the road is not asphalted for a few hundred meters - but the forest path is easy to ride on a racing bike.

There is enough parking space at Woe too busy 😔 If you want to go alpine skiing, you should go floodlit in the evening. The slope also has artificial snowmaking 🤷‍♂️
