A great woodland setting for a bit of fresh air, a bit of elevation change, or just plain beauty. There's enough elevation change for some truly demanding trail training, and by approaching it differently (starting near the golf course, for example, and following the valley more in its length), it's also possible to maintain a more manageable elevation gain. The wetlands at the bottom are truly charming. Combine with the golf course, the arboretum, Lake LLN, or the Bois des Rêves. A must-see in the BW!

Relax walk around the lac

We find the most famous cartoonist in comics smiling, his cat on his shoulders, sitting on a pile of albums drawing. If you approach the statue, he smiles at you and you have the impression that he is drawing you. This statue is magnificent and it is not surprising because the sculptor who created it is far from being unknown in Brussels. It is in fact to Tom Frantzen that we owe the statues of Jacques Brel, Madame Chapeau and Zinneke which are so dear to our city center.

Lake Louvain-la-Neuve was created in 1984 as a fish pond and storm basin to prevent flooding in the lower part of the town and in the valley.

Hergé's sculpture near the museum was created by the artist Tom Frantzen. It was inaugurated on May 22, 2019.

The lake of Louvain-la-Neuve, with a surface area of 7 ha, was dug out in 1984 to serve as a storm basin and fish pond. A footpath with a Finnish track along the lake serves as a walking and leisure route.
