控えめな風景は、1520年にコナハト王の末裔によって建てられた4階建ての高い塔であるDunguaire Castleの質素なシルエットに支配されています。この城は、映画『*ワイルド・アット・ハート*』（ロジャー・ムーアとアンソニー・パーキンス主演、1979年）のセットとして使用され、その映画的な魅力を維持しています。2023年以降、城の内部は一般公開されておらず、再開時期も発表されていませんが、敷地内を散策し、この場所の特別で魔法のような雰囲気を体験することは可能です。

Some may know the action film "Blast Command Atlantic", where Dunguaire Castle served as a film set. From the car park it is only a 3-minute walk to Dunguaire Castle, which is called Caislean Dún Guaire in Irish. A large signpost on the side of the road ensures that you cannot miss your destination and you can also see this sight from a distance.

Dunguaire Castle has been restored and is open to visitors during the summer. Each floor is decorated to reflect a different period in the castle's history and is impressively done. The sheltered garden within the high walls was said to be loved by the last owner of Coole House, Lady Augusta Gregory. What remain of old hothouses, used to grow exotic fruit, make for unique picnic bench shelters.
