Autumn has to be one of the best seasons to visit 🍁 🍂

On a practical note, it's one of the few bridges over the river in this area so it's likely a waypoint. That said, it's worth a pause to look upstream and downstream and take the obligatory photo. If you're naughty, there's a jail built into the bridge underneath.

There's an old prison built into the bridge base on the east side.

The stone bridge across the River Braan is now open again after being closed for over a decade.

Closed for refurbishment until February 2024.

Fiddler's Path is named after a local fiddler who used to compose tunes while sitting on the river bank. Although, the actual spot is on the opposite bank from here [which you pass on the return journey], I think this section is the best with the more scenic views of the River Tay

A lovely town along the River Tay, Dunkeld is a wonderfully picturesque town in Perthshire. The town centre feels like a step into history, albeit with delicious modern bakeries, cafés, restaurants, and independent shops.
