Open Sundays 10:00 - 12:30 to see the sails turning (WIND DEPENDENT). Quainton Windmill is 191 years old and sits proudly above the Village Green. There are fewer than 40 working windmills in the UK and so it is truly a sight to behold. The mill is fortunate in having much of its original machinery enabling grain to be ground. I agree with all the above tips. UNFORTUNATELY when I cycled there on 11th Oct 2023, I was told by the manager of the cafe that it will be permanently closed on 22nd Dec 2023, and all the staff will loose their jobs. So if you want to sample the excellent food, you don't have much time do it.
