From the "Panoramaweg" above the Leudelsbachtal valley, you will inevitably always have "views into the Leudelsbachtal"

To the right of the church entrance is the Staufer Stele, which is definitely worth a look. Since 2000, 38 Staufer steles have been erected in six European countries as part of a project unique in the world. The steles are located at locations related to the history of the Staufers, who were dukes, kings, and emperors in the High Middle Ages.

Built as an imperial castle around 1240, it was further expanded from around 1250 onward. In 1481, under Count Eberhard the Beard, it was expanded and converted into a palace, where the old Imperial Storm flag was kept. Partially demolished in 1724. The stones were used, among other things, for the construction of the Ludwigsburg Residence. In 1808, a new building was constructed: a penitentiary, later an orphanage. From 1873, it served as a teachers' college, now a secondary school.

The taverna is located a few kilometers upstream of Glems and is actually highly recommended 👍.

The Grüner Heiner is a scree hill on the municipal boundary between Stuttgart-Weilimdorf and Korntal-Münchingen. It stands on the A81 motorway west of Korntal. Its summit is 397.3 meters above sea level and towers 80 to 90 meters above the immediately surrounding terrain. The wind turbine, built on the hill in 1999 and connected to the grid in 2000, is now considered a landmark of Stuttgart-Weilimdorf.

impressive old town

We love this section. Whether by bike 🚴🏼‍♀️ or on foot 🥾, the path is simply idyllic. In summer, the trees provide pleasant shade. Only during the cold, wet season does the path often become muddy.
