In 1946, 450 refugees from the Sudetenland came to Wöschbach. They felt welcome here. Wöschbach became their new home. People still fondly remember that. And so, three generations later, the "Heimatbrunnen" (Homeland Fountain) was created.

Beautiful half-timbered building right on the old market square. Renovated in 2019. Several flood marks from the Pfinz River can be seen on the building's cornerstones.

The former castle of the Margraves of Baden-Durlach has unfortunately been falling into increasing disrepair for the past six years. It would be a tragedy if the Margrave's oldest castle had to be demolished. It has an interesting and varied history, having been owned by the painter Otto Fikentscher from the end of the 19th century until the Second World War – and a home to many other artists. The open workshops and events of that time contributed significantly to Grötzingen's reputation as an "artists' village." It was extensively renovated in 1962 and most recently used as a retirement home for approximately 20 years. It is currently owned by a French nursing home operator.
