The park is integrated into the nature reserve and is left to its own devices in some places, while in others it's simply a park. Therefore, it's truly worth a visit.

Beautiful surroundings around the tower. Cafe, old villas, well-kept surroundings. A bit too much traffic, though.

Mural by Nuno Viegas, created at the end of July 2025 in the Urban Art Space Wuppertal. An eye-catcher in a very prominent location on the Ostersbaum, easily visible to pedestrians/cyclists (possibly even from the road in winter) as well as from buses/cars. A safe photo spot at the traffic light/intersection. Access to the Nordbahntrasse (Northern Railway Line) and other street art, such as the famous Lego bridge, are located nearby. "Nuno Viegas is a Portuguese artist who was born in Faro in 1985 and grew up in Quarteira. Always worth it

Once upon a time, the railway on the Rhine line roared through the tunnel here. Today, the 85-meter-long Fatloh Tunnel and the Nordbahn line are the territory of runners, cyclists, and hikers.
