Thames Street in Sudbury-on-Thames has a wide pavement and great views of the river. Look across the river to Sunbury Locks and upstream to the weir. The Thames Path long distance walking trail follows the opposite bank here and the Walled Garden is behind you.

Created at the beginning of the 18th century, Sunbury Walled Garden is a beautiful colourful idyll. Within its ancient walls, there's a huge range of trees, shrubs, climbers and flowers. The Lendy Memorial lion stands in the centre of the garden, commemorating the life of Major Auguste Frederic Lendy, a French royalist who ran a military school during the 19th century. The gardens are open from 7.30am - 8.30pm. There's also a cafe and gallery.

Hampton Court Bridge is a hive of activity & of course is most famous for Henry 8th's Hampton Court Palace which just must be visited.

free to visit but small charge for parking & there is a lovely little Café in the grounds too, definitely worth a visit.

Garrick's Temple to Shakespeare was built by the 18th century actor-manager David Garrick in 1756 to celebrate the genius of William Shakespeare. You can see the temple clearly from this side of the river. However, if you fancy going over and exploring the temple and gardens, admission is free.
