Mannheim's largest and most popular shopping street in the entire region stretches from Paradeplatz to the water tower. This section of the Planken is car-free.

The Mannheim Telecommunications Tower is almost as much a landmark of Mannheim as the Water Tower. It's 125 meters tall. You can take an elevator to the top and enjoy the wonderful view of Mannheim, the surrounding area, and even as far as the Palatinate and Odenwald mountains. The Collini Bridge connects Mannheim's city center with the Neckarstadt-Ost district across the Neckar River. The pedestrian and bicycle bridge offers a direct, quick crossing and, at the same time, a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding architecture. The bridge is a popular spot, especially at sunset.
