Stop at the South Beach Kiosk

The Pullinger Weiher are several artificial lakes in the southern urban area of the Upper Bavarian district town of Freising. They were created through gravel mining and therefore have no above-ground inflows or outflows.

Branch Church of St. Peter and Paul Achering dates back to the 15th century - its Gothic choir dates from that time. The rectangular room is spanned by a star vault resting on small corbels. The nave and sacristy were built in 1860. The church features a 118 centimeter high wooden figure from the beginning of the 16th century, which depicts Saint Sebastian in princely robes. In his right hand he holds two arrows. The interior was renovated in 2015 and has shone in new splendor ever since. The Pullinger Weiher (24 hectares) is the largest of the Pullinger lakes and, together with the smaller Pullinger See (6.3 hectares) to the north, forms a local recreation area that has been gradually created and expanded since 2010 after the end of gravel quarrying. A large sunbathing lawn offers bathers and sunbathers plenty of sunbathing areas. The beautiful sand court for beach volleyball provides a sporty balance. Beer garden friends are rewarded with beautiful views of the water surface.
