ヴェルベリン湖畔のピオネール共和国「ヴィルヘルム・ピーク」は、東ドイツの青少年活動の絶対的な顔でした。それは単なるサマーキャンプではなく、子供たちにとっての「国家の中の国家」であり、SEDの威信をかけたプロジェクトであり、国際的な出会いの場でした。この施設は、1952年7月16日にヴィルヘルム・ピーク自身によって開設されました。モデルとなったのは、クリミアのソビエト連邦のキャンプ「アルテク」でした。

The old wall paintings have been partially restored and supplemented with historical images. Nowadays, the Kaiserbahnhof can be used for weddings and has a very beautiful wedding hall.

From pioneer service to holiday camp. Children of the GDR once spent their time here. Today, the site is a holiday resort on Lake Weberlin. Various options are available at https://www.seezeit-resort.de/.

A very beautiful former mill. The sails have been missing for some time. The building was recently renovated and converted into a residential building. It is privately owned and therefore not open to the public.

Not only the view from the upper terrace overlooking the lake is worth seeing, but also the interior, which features, among other things, beautiful murals. Furthermore, fishing is depicted using various fishing implements.
