A local told me a very exciting story. Back in the 1980s, the long runway was significantly reinforced so that it could be used as an alternative emergency landing strip for the Buran ("Russian space shuttle"). Otherwise, it should be noted that Groß Dölln was supposed to have been the largest military airfield in the GDR.

The main tangent of the old GroßDölln airfield is marked here. The main paths are easy to drive on even with normal-width tires. All kinds of animals enjoy the peace and solitude here.

The sign with the legend in Low and High German hangs in the shelter. It's pretty lonely here.

As far as I know there is no access to the lake.

Spooky atmosphere here.. totally quiet and peaceful in the middle of the forest, but the idea of what fighting machines stood here a few decades ago.. crazy!
