Beautiful rest area overlooking the Ziegelsee lake near Schwerin

The loading crane industrial monument is certainly an eye-catcher.

The huts down by the water are "boathouses" that were already there during the GDR era. And that certainly had nothing to do with the fact that the space at Ziegelsee was optimally utilized. The magnificent white buildings are condominiums built after reunification and stand on a former industrial site.

You can quickly cycle around the Pfaffenteich, but you'll be sharing the path with pedestrians. It's quite easy to get along. Where you enter the pedestrian zone, there's outdoor dining with a view of the fountain—nice 😉

Lake Schwerin and the city of Schwerin...worth a trip. It's a great drive around the lake. Schwerin has a lot of cobblestones.
