🚢 The Oldenburg Lock is a key transportation hub for shipping in the region and is located directly next to the Upper Hunte hydroelectric power plant. The lock is situated in an area of great importance for water management, as it also contains the weir for regulating the water level and the aforementioned hydroelectric power plant for energy generation.

A wonderful promenade with plenty of restaurants and cafés. Just a few minutes' walk from the pedestrian zone and the train station, the harbor is a popular meeting place in Oldenburg.

The Pandsgraben weir is a small hydraulic engineering structure in the Oldenburg area that serves to regulate the water level in the Pandsgraben – an artificially created drainage ditch in the region.

The Ohmsteder Polder is a retention basin and flood protection area in the north of Oldenburg (Ohmstede district). Its purpose is to temporarily absorb excess water from the Hunte River during heavy rain or flooding, thus protecting the city center and surrounding areas from flooding.

The Great Hunte Bridge near Oldenburg is a steel composite bridge on the A29 motorway that crosses the Hunte River west of Oldenburg. It is an important part of the north-south connection and a striking structure in the region.

The Tillysee is located in the municipality of Wardenburg. On the east side is the Huntedeich. You walk around it partly on the dike and partly through the forest.
