Church in Benndorf and War Memorial - World War I. Information: It was built around the year 1500. The interior of the church underwent extensive renovations in 1863. Further renovations took place between 1980 and 1983.

Like the neighboring Bockwitzer See, Lake Harth is a residual open-cast mining lake created by the Borna-Ost lignite open-cast mine. It is located in Leipzig's New Lake District, east of Borna and north of Frohburg, and was flooded from 1987 to 1995. It is an approved EU bathing water site.

Some paths are very steep and bumpy, so you should be fit.

Very beautiful shelter, next to it a memorial stone in memory of Harald Krug, a recognized conservationist. From the hut you can observe the bird protection and breeding area of the little grebe, marsh harrier, bittern, lapwing or crane through hatches. An informative board explains the post-mining landscape of the Bockwitz nature reserve.

The wide view is wonderful, even with sunset in the evening
