From the pretty bridge you have a magnificent view of the unspoiled Schwentine river.

The path leads beautifully along Lake Eutin... lovely views of the lake open up every now and then.

On the Großer Eutiner See, just a 5-minute walk from the castle and the old town, lies a beautiful, historic bathing establishment with old changing rooms and wooden bathing jetties. Idyllically situated in the Seeschaarwald forest, with a large lawn including a small beach offering shallow water access, a beach volleyball court, and other play areas for children, it's also an ideal family destination. If necessary, you can also drive up close. Admission is free. In inclement weather, the entire facility remains closed. A Schleswig-Holstein flag hoisted on the jetty indicates whether it's open.

The lakeside paths are very well-maintained, even in wet conditions. Just not necessarily suitable for road bikes.
