If you cross the old Jeetzel River, you'll get to the other side. It's okay to walk, but I'd prefer to drive a bit further, where you can easily cross over a road bridge.

The former customs house of the town of Hitzacker now houses the local history museum.

In 2018, a swing bridge was built, allowing access to the marina. Here, you'll find everything a skipper's heart desires: a new aluminum jetty with 107 berths, electricity, water, and wastewater disposal (Marpol system), as well as a newly constructed harbor pavilion with a harbormaster's office and restroom facilities. Ample parking is available. This makes this marina one of the most modern and environmentally friendly on the Elbe.

The town island is embraced by the Jeetzel River, which flows into the Elbe below the vineyards. Thanks to the marina's excellent location, you can explore the town island on foot.
