デュマー湖の周りの美しく走りやすいサイクリングロード。湖の東岸では、夏と週末はサイクリングが許可されていません。一方、西岸では、デュマー湖をほとんど見ることができません。

美しい水城で、個人所有です。その状態から、ほとんど忘れられた場所のように見えますが、それゆえに神秘的なものがあります。

A great cycle path really nice to ride

The indirect evidence of settlement continues with the megalithic tombs. The photographic, textual, and sketch documentation in the city museum primarily shows the so-called "Hünengrab" (large stone tomb) in Neuenwalde, which dates back to the Neolithic period and represents the burial site of an extended family. Moving and stacking such huge and heavy boulders reveals an extremely high level of effort, which was only undertaken because the settlements were nearby and the tomb had been occupied for generations.

A little information from the internet: The "Ochsenmoor" nature reserve is located between Lake Dümmer, the western Dümmer lowlands, and the towns of Lemförde, Dielingen, and Hunteburg. It features fens, small and large sedge marshes, reed beds, and isolated marsh forests. Extensively managed grassland also characterizes the landscape. The 1,029-hectare protected area is part of the "Dümmer" FFH area and the "Dümmer" EU bird sanctuary. This creates ideal conditions for breeding and resting birds. Ruffs, common snipe, and greylag geese, in particular, can be observed resting here in autumn and winter, as can numerous other bird species.
