On the eastern shores of Bogstadvannet is Bogstad Manor, a beautiful manor house. There's a cafe here for some post run refreshment, while there's also a museum where you can find out more about the history of the lake and house.

A cemetery embedded picturesquely in the landscape facing the Askerelva river. The monument in front of it for Crown Princess Martha (1901-1954), whose life was filmed in the TV series "Atlantic Crossing", is noteworthy. Near the cemetery chapel is the grave of Max and Tikken Manus, two members of the Olsen Gang. They resisted the German occupation in World War II. The Olsen Gang is also known for a multi-part crime comedy.
