Askjumskogen near Ås is a peaceful forest with well-marked, easy trails. The short circular routes are ideal for relaxed walks and can be reached quickly from the town of Ås.

Såner Church is a modern striking looking church. it was built in 2000 after its predecessor (from 1880) was tragically destroyed by fire in 1995. The quiet surrounding cemetery provides a practical bonus where you can fill up your water bottle before continuing your journey.

It's a great ride. And be sure to stop at the end of the bridge and walk down to the Hølen Cafe. I highly recommend the Interrail pizza there.

It's a church. Nothing special about it, really. But the roads leading to to the church are nice. Now, why wouldn't they mark those as highlights instead of the church? You can't really cycle inside the church or around the graveyard anyway.

The pizza alone is worth a stop! I had the "Interrail" pizza with ham, rocket, parmesan and olive oil for 200 krone. It was huge. I can only recommend it.

Very nice cafe, I can highly recommend it. Not only are the homemade pizzas very good, but there are books to read and games to play in case the weather is bad and you have to spend a longer time there :-)

wish I'd seen this tip before I cycled .... I travelled north to south and can confirm that cycle route 7 is generally not particularly nice to travel because of the heavy traffic.
