I'm guessing at different times the picnic area had more amenities, right now it was one table. And the only thing eating back there was the mosquitos chomping on me when I stopped to take a picture.

What a neat looking playground and a veterans park with a tank. Picnic shelter and more. Nice place to stop and take a break at the end of the Root River Trail.

Right at the end of the trail is this coffee shop. Years ago when I got here, it was right as they were closing and didn't have a chance to try anything. Today I had a quick ice coffee, hit the spot!

There was a ton of tree debris pushed up against this big bridge, maybe the longest bridge on the trail between Rushford and Houston

A bunch of crushed rock put between fencing to hold back the rock. Haven't seen one like this before.

Nice big park at the end of the Root River trail. Small campground, bandshell, bathrooms, natural play area, big parking lot.

Looks a little rougher today than it was when I saw it 6 years ago. Although now that school is back in session maybe they aren't keeping it up as much.
