The Chattahoochee River is an ideal spot for a water break, offering tranquil surroundings. Flowing for about 430 miles, it forms the southern boundary between Alabama and Georgia and a segment of the Florida-Georgia border. As a tributary of the Apalachicola River, it eventually merges with the Flint River and empties into Apalachicola Bay in the Gulf of Mexico. This river, with its scenic beauty, provides a serene pause during your cycling journey.

The Big Creek Greenway can be accessed at various locations, including this Bethelview Trailhead. The greenway is 12 ft in width and mostly concrete or boardwalk. Facilities along (or close to) the trail include multiple parking areas, toilets and playgrounds. Although the whole Big Creek Greenway is approximately 26 miles in length, there are various sections which are not complete. Keep up to date with the opening times of the trail, as it is closed overnight.

Sawnee Mountain Preserve in Cumming, spanning 963 acres, invites runners to explore its trails, Indian Seats, and diverse amenities. Wander through abandoned gold mines, climb Indian Seats Trail, and capture stunning North Georgia mountain views. Enjoy a run through this natural haven with open trails and a welcoming visitor center.

The Poole's Mill Covered Bridge is the highlight of Poole's Mill Park. It's nearly 100 feet long (96 feet) and spans across Settendown Creek. The bridge isn't far at all from the main parking area.

Beautiful place , awesome hike that does not get boring .

This trail is excellently marked and winds through Charleston Park. It meets up with Lake Lanier multiple times, providing stunning views and a pleasant opportunity to take a break and reflect on the scenery.
