Pioneer Park, established in 1902, is Walla Walla’s oldest park. The park offers a playground, soccer field, softball fields, pickle ball courts, paved paths, a historical bandstand, a wedding fountain, a historic cannon, and a rose garden. Enjoy natural beauties like large shade trees, flower gardens, and ponds. Birds are kept at the aviary, which is free to enter. If you're passing by, restrooms are available for a pit stop.

Kingfisher Trail, also known as the Mill Creek Trail, spans 2.5 miles, following the Mill River. It is an unpaved trail, but a wide, smooth, packed gravel trail that is open to non-motorized transportation and is dog friendly.

This area serves to aid in flood prevention and offers a pleasant view, especially after rainfall. A well-maintained hard-packed dirt trail encircles the area, featuring a gradual incline change.
