An idyllic harbor and always good to have a look

Isle au Haut Boat Services, a non-profit corporation, operates year-round passenger, mail and freight service between the Town of Stonington and Isle au Haut, as well as seasonal service to Acadia National Park's Duck Harbor Landing. The financial shortfall is covered by support from Isle au Haut Town, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the National Park Service and private donors. You get a view of the breakwater with the lighthouse off in the distance from here. If you leave your bike behind, you can walk out to the old structure. It's a pretty far walk along the rocky breakwater to the lighthouse (just under a mile), but it's well worth the trek if you're a lighthouse fan.

It might be a dead end street, but with a view like this, and a bench to appreciate it from, it's worth the detour.

Slow down to make sure you get a view out to Camden Harbor. There are a variety of boats moored in the marina and if you have more time than just slowing down, there are plenty of places to eat and drink, too.

This cute little waterside town boasts a very picturesque harbor. It comes as no surprise that Rockport is home to a community of artists who find inspiration in their beautiful surrounds. If you have time to stop in the town, keep an eye out for the statue of Andre the Seal who lived in the harbor until he died in 1986, and was the star of the 1994 film of the same name.

Norton Pond is a small body of water bordered by some neighborhoods and Breezemere Park. There are great views of the water from the park while most of the views from the roads are blocked by trees and houses.
