The Pleasant Grove Creek Trail is a multiuse trail that runs through fields and residential areas in Roseville. The path is mostly flat and is not challenging. It is completely off-road, so it is a great spot for an uninterrupted run.

All that remains of Johnson's Ranch is this plaque. The Donner party, in 1846, stuck at Donner Lake in the snow, sent a rescue party, and the survivors stumbled into Johnson's Ranch, where help came to their aid.

This is one of many California Historic Marker found along highways and byways, telling of the state's history. This one is the story of the Overland Emigrant Trail, in what seems to be more or less the middle of farmland. This plaque talks about the infamous Donner Party rescue party. This area has an interesting history; if you ever see one of these markers, be sure to stop and learn something new!

Camp Far West Lake of the South Shore is a camping area with a few trail loops. The most north loop goes to a peninsula with a great view of the lake. Amenities at this campground include piped drinking water and wheelchair-accessible vault toilets. Visitors can go swimming, fishing, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, biking, hiking, and horseback riding.

Dry Creek Trail gives riders the option to stay on the paved path or ride on dirt. The trail is very flat and family-friendly, especially for those wanting to learn to ride on dirt, as they can switch back to the pavement anytime. It follows the Dry Creek, which is a very shaded area, but the path weaves in and out of the shade.

Pleasant Grove Creek Trail is a recently expanded bike path going through Roseville. This trail offers a 10-mile roundtrip bike ride but links up to many other parks and other trails. Pleasant Grove Creek Trail takes riders from Foothills Blvd. to Winding Creek. It's a great ride to get away from cars as well.
