Very nice view of the waterfall

The McGalliard Falls is a picturesque waterfall situated in the park of the same name. The falls cascade gracefully over rocks, creating a serene and natural setting. To reach the falls, the Valdese Greenway is the most popular route, but they can be reached by car as well.

Duggers Creek Falls is an underrated waterfall just off the side of Linville Falls Road. This is an easy waterfall to add onto the start, end, or middle of your run since the trail accessing the falls is so short.

The viewpoints at the ends of the Plunge Basin spur trails are some of the most secluded overlooks at Linville Falls. The trails getting to the overlooks aren't used as much as the paths on the southern banks of the river, so expect the running to be a little slower on this side of the water.

Linville Falls is the combination of 3 cascades, which help create one of the most visited spectacles in the entirety of Pisgah National Forest. There are a bunch of different areas where you can view the falls, but this is the most popular overlook on this side of the river.

Along the Erwin's View trail, you will see 4 different perspectives of Linville Falls. Watch the water move along a narrow canyon before plunging over the falls in a strong torrent.

Upper Creek Falls is a 50-foot tall waterfall that only half a mile from the main parking area. You can add on some mile on the highway and connect to other nearby trails and forest roads if you want to do more than just the one-mile loop around the falls.

The Big Bear Trail, that leads to the falls of the same name, is one of the newest in the South Mountain State Park and makes a visit to the waterfalls possible. Compared to the famous High Shoals Falls, those falls are way less popular (but no less beautiful!) and if you're lucky, you can enjoy the waterfalls without any other people.
