Most of the town's shops with relevant resupply options, a bike shop, some historic buildings and this historic railway caboose in a free outdoor history exhibit, are along Grand Avenue.

Great little town to rest and resupply along the Great Divide Mountain Bike route, with some restaurants and hotels, bikeshops and grocery stores, a public library offering free Wifi, a museum, and some mountain bike trails straight out of town.

Starting point for hikes and trail rides around Lookout Mountain on the south-west side of Del Norte, with picnic table and facilities to take a rest.

CO 112 crosses the Rio Grande just north of Del Norte city, with great views from the bridge in both directions up and downstream.

Another possibly toxic site of mining refuse. Most of the water in this large region should be avoided unless carefully tested pure in a laboratory

Surprisingly without a signpost, Indiana Pass at 11910 feet elevation is the highest point on the Great Divide gravel route, only the hiking trail reaches some higher points. The gravel road here tops out above timber line, offering stunning views across the volcanic peaks and surrounding caldera meadows.

A few dilapidated wooden buildings remain, some already collapsed, others are supposedly being 'preserved'
