Lake Hollingsworth spans 354 acres and is a highly popular reservoir for biking, walking, and running. The approximately 3-mile trail encircling it offers magnificent views of the water from all angles. At times, this area becomes filled with birds, creating a truly unique sight.

The Scrub Jay Trail gets its name from one of the rarest birds in the state: the Scrub Jay. This bird is a Florida native and can regularly be spotted here in Lake Wales Ridge State Forest. The trail itself is well-kept and passes by a number of wetland and marshy areas.

The Bok Tower, a tall Carillon-tower was built in 1921 by Edward W. Bok, editor of the magazine The Ladies Home Journal, along with the surrounding gardens as a bird sanctuary on Floridas highest point to protect the land from being developed. Today, Bok Tower Gardens is a popular spot for recreation and to visit the museum and the beautiful vegetation.
