Today we walked from Benthuizen. The weather was beautiful. Many cyclists and walkers. The 42 km walk included a tour of the Rottemeer. Very beautiful and wonderful nature reserve. Beautiful bridge. View of the Rotterdam skyline. Very beautiful

Nice for walking and cycling but consider renting a canoe. Really fun to do.

Been cycling here for over 50 years. Cycled home/work from Nieuwerkerk ad IJssel to Leidschendam for a while. 4x a week there and back along the Rotte. Over 350 times a year. Wonderful to see how the Rottemeren change through the seasons and still go by at least once a week.

This mill has a shop where you can buy various products that are milled on site. Think of fresh flour, meal and other high-quality mill products. It is a cozy place where you can not only buy local products, but also experience a piece of history and craft.
