Wied Musa Battery, also known as Swatar Battery, is a former artillery battery in Marfa, bordering Mellieħa, Malta. It was built between 1714 and 1716 by the Knights Hospitaller as part of a series of coastal fortifications around the Maltese islands.

Walking the cliff path is beautiful. Unique rocks and salt pans. Wear good hiking shoes.

Beautiful bay for diving and swimming. People also jump off the rocks. Small pebble beach with a few sunbeds and a few nice restaurants. Pedal boat and kayak rentals are also available.

Life by the water

Mġarr ix-Xini Tower (Maltese: Torri ta’ Mġarr ix-Xin) is the largest coastal watchtower built by the Knights of Malta on Gozo. Overlooking the entrance to Mġarr ix-Xini bay in Għajnsielem on Gozo’s southwest coast, the tower was completed in 1661. Its design resembles the De Redin towers commissioned by Grand Master Martin de Redin
