I completely agree. The Nibelungensteig is truly a stunningly beautiful hiking trail. While I haven't completed all of its stages yet, I've visited some truly stunningly beautiful towns and forests along the way. Even though the Nibelungensteig does have quite a few ups and downs, the journey and the effort along the way are sure to be rewarded.

Mud Bridge 4 / Main Cycle Path - Miltenberg 🚴‍♂️ The Mud Bridge, located parallel to Mainzer Straße on the Main Cycle Path, connects the communities of Miltenberg and Kleinheubach. The 1.2-kilometer-long pedestrian and cycle path, a further section of the cycle path network, opened with the crossing in 2022. It leads from the "Schwertfeger Tor" parking lot to the Old Town Fortress over the Mud River. The new crossing consists of two bridge sections with a total length of 47.5 meters and a weight of 60 tons. The foundation was constructed using bored piles driven up to 14 meters into the rock. As a modern cycle and pedestrian bridge, the crossing over the Mud River tributary is excellent for both directions and very easy to pass...🚴‍♂️

Don't hesitate, sometimes take the ferry, it's not expensive and the view from the Main is even better 😁. You can also take the ferry back. In summer, at least on the weekends, there is always an ice cream man with extremely delicious ice cream. Promise (see pictures).🍦
