After a 10-year hiatus, the Lugnet ski jumps in Falun will once again host Ski Jumping World Cup events in November 2025. These events will serve as preparation for the 2027 Falun Nordic World Ski Championships 😀: Men's individual competition on the normal hill on November 25, 2025, Men's individual competition on the large hill on November 26, 2025, Women's individual competition on the normal hill on November 28, 2025, Women's individual competition on the large hill on November 29 and 30, 2025. The Falun Nordic World Ski Championships will take place from February 24 to March 7, 2027, in Falun. Watch the gently flowing Faluån River and relax with a café at Spruthuset. About the building's history: The fire station was built in 1884 on Fisktorget to house the newly acquired steam fire engine. The distinctive brick building with its octagonal tower served the fire department until 1911, when the new fire station was completed across the river. The tower was used to dry fire hoses.
