In two disconnection sections, the Ontario Pathways Rail Trail totals 25.2 miles and passes through a bunch of different landscapes. The surface of the trail is mainly cinders and smooth dirt and is popular for biking, running, and walking. One of the most popular stretches of trail is this segment at the very northern end of the southern section.

The Lehigh Valley Trail is a 15-mile multi-use trail. The trail is gravel, so it is best done on a hybrid or mountain bike. It is completely traffic free, so it's perfect for a family ride.

The historic boathouses on the west side of the Canaindagua City Pier were built between 1850 and 1888. They were mainly used to store boats, but were also used for storing farm products arriving on steamboats by companies shipping produce by rail from the pier. In 1990, the boathouses became part of the Canandaigua Historic District to preserve their heritage.
