This is the "Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania." Here, you are actually hiking right through the canyon itself. You'll be constantly serenaded by the sound of Pine Creek and have incredible, up-close views of the water.

Halfway Run sits within the Bald Eagle State Forest and protects and are of 407 acres. The surrounding forest provides a tranquil escape, and those keen on geography will notice the multiple remnants of the ice age, such as pingos and glacial ponds.

Millheim is a small town with a large history. The town's Historic District consists of 176 Georgian and Victorian buildings. The entire district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Lamar is a small town set on the edge of Fishing Creek, offering a number of beautiful areas to explore. If you need some food while you're here Brother's Pizza is a great family owned option, serving all kinds of Italian favorites. Also, Big Bear Farm is a good place to stop by during harvest season as they have all kinds of pumpkins and gourds on offer.

Raymond B. Winter State Park, also known as R. B. Winter State Park, is a 695-acre park that is surrounded by Bald Eagle State Forest in the ridge and valley region of Pennsylvania.
