From this spot, the basalt rocks form a beautiful shoreline shaped by centuries of flowing water as the river's final stretch tumbles over waterfalls and rapids before pouring into Lake Superior. This windswept confluence is the perfect place to watch sunsets, waves, and enjoy experiencing the raw power of nature.

Nice small beach on Clark Lake. It is a great place for a picnic to enjoy the quiet beach.

Great view of Clark Lake. The Clark Lake Loop Trail runs along the banks of the water here, so it is a great spot for a break to enjoy the tranquil setting.

Algonquin Falls are one of the smallest waterfalls on the Black River. The falls only fall about 20-30 feet over a distance of about 150 feet. They are just upstream from the much larger Great Conglomerate Falls.

This 30 foot tall waterfall is located on the Black River. When the water levels are low, the falls split into two separate streams. The name comes from the group of rocks in the middle of the falls.

Clark Lake has several sandy beaches dotted around its shores, making great spots to have a swim in the summer. There are also accessible areas for launching kayaks and canoes into the lake.

Shining Cloud Falls is the largest of the waterfalls in the Porcupine Mountains, at nearly 20 feet tall. The waterfall is divided into two separate falls, one where the water slides down and the other is a typical plunge.

Bathtub Falls is the last waterfall on the Big Carp River before it empties into Lake Superior.
