The trail is paved concrete all the way to the Marina. If you continue south to the Big Lizard Picnic Area you will find restrooms, pavilions, and beach access down to the beautiful reservoir.

The Greenway is a paved path that wraps around the CSU Pueblo campus. Across the road from here is the start of the Fountain Creek Trail.

There is a lot going on at City Park a dog park, a swimming pool, rides, a playground, a picnic area and a lake, all within a beautiful woodland setting.

This is a gorgeous section of the Arkansas River Trail. It's hard to be believe that just a few hundred meters away to the south is suburban Pueblo.

The Arkansas River Trail passes right next to its namesake here, with a clearing to stop and admire the view or have a well earned pitstop.

The Colorado Front Range Trail is an ongoing project to create a continuous trail reaching all the way from Wyoming to New Mexico. Sections around Fort Collins and between Denver and Colorado Springs are already complete, with another 500 miles or so in the works as of late 2023. Here in Pueblo it overlaps with the Fountain Creek and Arkansas River Trails.

Once known as Fountain Lakes, Runyon Lake is a fishing spot surrounded by traffic free paths. As motorised water craft and swimming aren't permitted, it is a good place to look for wildlife.
