Road 248 has a lot of heavy traffic on it going into Tramelan, so if Tramelan is your destination, you will have to tolerate heavy traffic for 2km. After Tramelan, the traffic seems to disappear. As a conciliation prize, the asphalted road is very smooth with no rough spots.

Road 1392 is a great way to avoid the heavy traffic into Tramelan on a very smooth surface with little traffic, however this road intersects with road 248 into Tramelan which is a very busy route with a lot of traffic. No way to avoid road 248, if you are riding into Tramelan, you will have to put up with the heavy traffic for 2 km until you enter Tramelan.

A magnificent descent to Loveresse on great asphalted pavement with no potholes or bumps. Let you bike sail down these descents with no worry of oncoming traffic.

Picturesque valleys, rolling hills and excellent cycleways, the most underestimated Swiss Canton for cycling.

This cycle route which follows the Birs Valley is full of magnificent surprises. This is so little automobile traffic in this area and this cycleway is on very smooth asphalted surface with no bumps or potholes, excellent for climbing and then descending at a high speed with out the fear of hitting a pothole.

The route between Moutier and Delémont is a beautiful route, with mainly decent asphalted surface but there are some places near the industrial areas where the asphalt is a bit rough but overall good a surface. Geological speaking it offers a lot of unusual rock formations creating nice backgrounds for photos. The route and following the River Birse which flows all the way to Basel.

This small bridge takes you over the Birs and into the Val Terbi.
