This viewpoint offers an exceptional panorama of the green lake and the surrounding mountains. The lake is located in a private domain and closed to visitors since 2019. You can nevertheless admire the lake from afar and enjoy the tranquility of nature. You can also extend your run to Mont Girod and the Joux pastures, where you will have other views of the Jura landscape.

The Sorne has dug itself deep into the rocks and today roars between almost vertical walls through the wildly romantic gorge. Numerous springs flow into the Gorges du Pichoux. Are there actually 1,000 sources, as the name “Pichoux” translates to? At the end of the gorge, Lac Vert shines like an emerald in the most wonderful shades of green - a fantastic place for your picnic. The Gorges du Pichoux is located on the road between Bellelay and Undervelier. By public transport or by car go to Sornetan, Le Pichoux.

Nice view, a short stretch of single trail and, depending on the water level, a stream crossing.

At the beginning the hiking trail leads over the road through the gorge. After the first tunnel, descend on the right and follow the path to Lac Vert. The nature down here is beautiful and interspersed with small streams and waterfalls.
