The Reformed Church "De Fontein" dates from 1790 and was built on the remains of a 13th-century tuff stone predecessor. Later, in 1926, a second nave was added to the north side. As a national monument, the church stands out for its unique features, such as the cast bell, the pulpit, the baptismal font, the stained-glass window, and the organ. During the summer months, the church opens its doors on Saturday afternoons to visitors who wish to explore or enjoy a quiet conversation.

Nice little bridge. It's easy to cross here unless there's a lot of ship traffic.

Since 2017, the Terhernster Veer Foundation has operated the ferry service between Eetcafé Portunus (Terherne) and Eetcafé 't Slûske/Jachthaven Sneekerhof (Tersoalstersyl). The trip across the Princess Margriet Canal takes about 10 minutes and also connects cycling junctions 42 and 43.

Terherne, known as the "Kameleondorp" (Chameleon Village), is an island in the Sneekermeer lake. On one side, you'll find the lake, and on the other, the Terhernster pools.

A must for cyclists who like the vastness and the view to the horizon.

A small pond in the middle of the forest. There's a bench on one side for a quick rest. A bridge crosses the pond. A very beautiful, unexpected place.

I didn't think it was that narrow, it was easy and fun to maneuver the curves. Even with a chariot cart riding behind the road bike.
