Panoramic views over the Buurderdünen, the Oerd, and the Wadden Sea. On a clear day, you can even see the mainland.

From here you can easily cycle to the lighthouse of Ameland. The lighthouse of Ameland, also called Bornrif, was built in 1881 by order of King Willem III. Designed by Quirinus Harder and built by foundry Nering Bögel, the tower is 55.3 meters high and has 15 floors with 236 steps.

The place on the bench is very popular. It has always been occupied when I have passed by. That is yet another reason (of many) to come back to Ameland. 🥰😍
