The Saint-Garin chapel at Pré de l'Essert is dedicated to a 12th century monk and bishop, also a veterinarian. It was built between 1560 and 1570 by the monks of Hauterive. It is located on a hill overlooking the Javro river valley, surrounded by mountain pastures and forests. You can start your run from the Valsainte convent, following the marked path which passes by the Mossettes restaurant, famous for its cheese fondue. The route offers a breathtaking view of the Pre-Alps. You can also admire the paintings and sculptures inside the chapel, which reflect local culture and history.
