Ägerisee Ägerisee Over 700 years ago, the lakeshore was the scene of the famous Battle of Morgarten. Today, swimming, boating and fishing are peaceful and relaxed.

Lake Ägeri is a paradise for fishermen. The lake is home to whitefish, pike, char, perch and trout. Fishing permits for the lake are issued by the municipalities of Oberägeri and Unterägeri or the campsite in Unterägeri. Further information can be found at Ägerisefischer.

Swimming in Lake Ägeri Lake Zug is a popular bathing lake. You can either go for a wild swim or choose one of the two lidos on Lake Ägeri. Lido lido in Unterägeri The Lido Unterägeri on Lake Ägeri offers everything you would expect from a lido: including a beach, diving platforms, water slides and a huge lawn. There is also a restaurant in the lido.

Lake Ägeri is the largest lake located entirely in the canton of Zug. On the shores of Lake Ägeri are the communities of Oberägeri, in which around 80% of the lake lies, and Unterägeri. The lake lies at an altitude of around 724 metres above sea level (current water level of Lake Ägeri) in the eastern part of Zugerland and is a maximum of 80 metres deep. Lake Ägeri is around five kilometres long and around two kilometres wide. The lake is fed by various streams, with the Hüribach being the main tributary. The Lorze flows out of the lake, which lies around ten kilometres east of Lake Zug.
