Lake Starlarèsc is the larger of the two Starlarèsc lakes in the Verzasca Valley. We are at around 1875m and it is a natural Alpine lake just below the "Madom da Sgiof".

Small mountain pasture still well maintained, not far from the top of Monte Madone and Cima della Trosa.

Mergoscia, 735 m above sea level, is a popular holiday and excursion destination. Located on a sunny south-facing slope, Mergoscia has just over 200 residents. Mergoscia is the starting point for numerous hikes. Only a few kilometers from the tourist centers of Locarno and Tenero, Mergoscia has largely retained its character as a typical mountain village of the Verzasca Valley.
