This is where the locals shop. Inside there is a large section for fish and seafood as well as meat and fruit/vegetable stalls. Outside the building there are temporary stalls selling things like flowers, clothing, bags, etc. I was there on a Saturday. I don't know if it's like this every day. There is also a stall selling churros. There is seating in front of it.

The building of the "Mercado Central de Abastos de Jerez" on Calle Doña Blanca was built on the site of the old convent of San Francisco from 1873 to 1885. This makes the market hall one of the oldest in the entire province of Cadiz. The neoclassical structure was designed by local architect José Esteve, and the iron parts of the structure were made in Belgium.

Open from Mon-Sat 08: 00-14: 00. The hall is divided into the three areas meat, fish and fruit and vegetables, there are a total of 115 stalls. Of these, 43 are for fruits and vegetables, 40 for fish, 15 for meat, seven for eggs, three for colonial goods, two for olives and two for spices, and there is also a bakery, an ice-cream shop and a bar.
