Bikepacking trip with a night bivouac on the shores of Lac des Rousses, beach side. Very windy at night, so wrap up warm. Otherwise, a magnificent lake with few people (early August).

A very nice border village to relax in after a bike ride (from Geneva in our case). We spent the afternoon and a night camping near the lake. Shops nearby for supplies 👍

Lacs de Maclu are two adjacent lakes in the western part of the French Jura, in the Jura department of Franche-Comté. They are located at an elevation of 779 m in a depression in the High Jura, in the region of the Five Lakes near Le Frasnois, about 12 km south of Champagnole. The Petit Maclu, located to the northeast, has an area of 5 hectares, a length of about 500 m, and a maximum width of about 120 m. Its greatest depth is 11 m. It lies entirely within the municipal territory of Le Frasnois.

A departure from Lac des Rousses towards Le Pont and back. A not-too-difficult outing of 62 km and 450 m of elevation gain.

Wide road from Vallorbe, lots of traffic, the first km is pretty steep. Juraparc near the col, with some goats and cute alpacas next to the road! An easier alternative to the Mollendruz to get into the Vallée de Joux.

Narlay Lake, located in the Jura, is a true natural setting surrounded by forests and green hills. This glacial lake, with its clear waters, offers an idyllic setting for a walk or a contemplative break by the water. The paths that surround it allow you to explore its peaceful banks, offering superb views of the Jura mountains and the reflections of the landscape in the lake.
