Lovely views to the River Avon across this historic bridge. Dating from the 13th or 14th C

A popular cyclists cafe with a campsite that is also great for runners. They have a good breakfast and lunch menu with plenty of choice and good size portions. Open Tue to Sat 9:00 - 16:00. Sun 9:00 - 15:00. Closed on Mondays.

A narrow pack horse bridge over the river Avon between Trowbridge and Melksham. It's a beautiful old bridge and a useful crossing point allowing you to run loops without using the busy roads close by.

The Kennet and Avon Canal flows from Bristol to Reading. This section east of Trowbridge is a narrow, mostly singletrack gravel tow path that follows the very edge of the canal. There are normally a few boats around and you're likely to meet some cyclists/dog walkers/ other runners but it's normally quiet and good for some fast running if you fancy it.

The A363 Trowbridge Road between Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge has a wide pavement with a good surface. It's a great fast (not flat) run if you go early or late but the road gets a bit busy for nice running during the working day. Useful for people who live in Bradford to access the Trowbridge Parkrun at speed or if you want some road miles rather than the canal.

A great section of the Kennet and Avon Canal towpath between Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge. The trail is flat, gravely and quieter than the section from Bradford to Avoncliff. It does still get fairly busy with walkers and cyclists though so best early or later in the day.

The town seems pretty sparse on a Sunday for a decent coffee stop. We really liked this one 👍
